When we say that something is "on the tipping point," - German “kippen” - we refer to a state between resting and falling, with falling being the more likely outcome. The idea of something tipping in a positive direction is not usually considered.

kip•pen is a video installation that makes the globally perceptible social feeling of situations on the verge of turning negative tangible in various ways. Each element of the video installation embodies the concept of tipping in its own unique way.
