Etwas Bewegendes

The hours in the car were long and tedious. Outside, there was traffic jam and heat, and then there were people who drove slower at accidents to see what had happened. There were two of us. And then, all of a sudden, this question: Would you rather film car journeys forever, as a profession, doing nothing else, or live in the car for the rest of your life? The question was also in English, probably phrased differently then. And I said: So, you mean never stepping out of the car? Sleeping, eating. Everything. I think I'd probably have to kill myself then. We both laughed briefly. I turned on the radio to find out how long the traffic jam would last.

About the sound design

The speaker setup, consisting of two quadraphonic systems at different heights, was expanded by four effect channels, which utilized the acoustic characteristics of the space. This setup was used to juxtapose very concrete imaginative worlds of high spatial design against the abstract stage events.
