Alfred Wälchli - Soundwalk
To mark the 100th birthday of the Zofingen composer and writer Alfred Wälchli, the FHNW Academy of Music set up a soundwalk in the old town of Zofingen in 2022. Equipped with headphones and a smartphone, you can embark on a journey of discovery around Alfred Wälchli and his work. Together with Salome ImHof, I have created a colorful collage of Wälchli's literary and musical works. Zofingen personalities have their say in interviews conducted especially for the event, as does Wälchli himself. At places that played a special role for Wälchli, you will learn amusing, intimate and surprising facts about the Zofingen original, whose work is still polarizing today. The soundwalk invites you to approach Wälchli's oeuvre in a personally individual way and let it have an effect on you.
What I did:
Interviewing contemporaries of Alfred Wälchli for research archives
Collaboration artistic concept of the walk
Collaboration scriptwriting
Voice directing and decoding
Audio production of the sound content
Implementation in the interactive audiowalk engine
